Practice changing words when adding a suffix. For example, when adding 'ing', in sail / sailing, we make no changes. For wave / waving, we drop the 'e'. And for run / running, we double the last letter. Students write the word with the suffix, then circle whether they did nothing, dropped an 'e', or doubled the last letter.
